1. Are your supplements GMP Compliant?

All of my supplements are TGA certified in addition to being manufactured in a GMP compliant facility.
What does this mean for you?
It means that I don't want you to stress about the quality of the ingredients and the dosages. I want you to be confident in knowing that all of my supplements go through the highest level of quality standards available in the supplement industry.

2. Are your supplements third-party verified and tested?

Every single batch of product is third-party assayed and tested to ensure that they contain the ingredients we claim that they contain.
The combinations of third-party verification and certifications above represent the highest level of quality control available in the supplement industry.

3. Where are your supplements manufactured?

All of my supplements are manufactured in the United States of America and they are shipped from Mesa, Arizona.
My supplements are NOT produced or manufactured overseas.

5. Do your supplements really work?

My personal belief is that they absolutely work but I don't want you to take my word for it. I would encourage you to read the more than 4,000+ real patient reviews on our products.
These reviews are submitted and managed through a third-party system known as Judge.me.
We do not edit or manipulate the reviews to ensure that you are reading the actual opinion of other thyroid patients who have purchased these supplements in the past.
At this point, we currently have over 4,000 reviews and have sold over 50,000 supplements.

6. Are your supplements a scam?

I don't know why I get this question but it actually comes up from time to time!
And no, you are not getting scammed when you purchase my supplements.
I have been around publishing content, producing videos, curating supplements, and treating patients for over 4 years and I plan to continue for many years to come.
I also spend a considerable amount of time and energy ensuring that our supplements go through rigorous certification and testing before providing them to you guys.
Does that mean that they will work for you? Not necessarily, and I would never make that claim.
But I go through all of the steps necessary to ensure that you have the BEST chance possible of feeling better when you use them.

7. Which supplements should I use?

I have created a guide to help with this exact question which you can read in detail here, but you can also find some basic information and supplement combinations below: 

It has been my personal experience that most people realize better benefits when they use a combination of supplements and when they target those supplements to their problems. 

You don't necessarily have to use more than 1 supplement at a time, however, as you will still experience results if you use them in this way.

8. Are your supplements available anywhere else?

No, at this time we are the only supplier of our supplements and there is no other way to get them.
We currently sell some of our supplements on Amazon.com and the rest can be found directly on our website.
We do not sell all of our supplements on Amazon at this time and we do not have plans to add any more. This is because we can offer better incentives and bonuses on our website which is better for you, the buyer!

9. How long does it take for your supplements to work?

Because my supplements target hormonal pathways in the body they tend to take weeks to really kick in.
This is completely normal and is to be expected.
While it is true that some people experience almost immediate results, this is not typical for most people.
I would say that on average most people (and I've tested these on thousands of people to date) experience improvements around the 4-6 week mark.
There will always be some people who experience results sooner (think 1-2 weeks) and even some that may take longer (think 6-8 weeks).
If you read the reviews you will often hear that people continue to see improvements over 8+ weeks or even longer and that is because it takes time to really impact your thyroid function.
Even thyroid medications take weeks to kick in and work and supplements are no different.
It is worth mentioning, however, that some supplements (such as protein powder and probiotics) will most likely work much faster.
But for other supplements (such as Thyroid Adrenal Reset Complex and T3 Conversion Booster) will fit the 4-6 week timeline.

10. Is there any danger to taking more than 1 supplement at a time?


All of my supplements are designed to be taken with each other so they contain complementary ingredients. 

The only exception is Thyroid Daily Essentials and Functional Fuel which do have some overlap in ingredients. 

The other supplements are not only capable of being used together but designed to be. You can check out this page for more information on the combinations of supplements that I recommend

Please note, however, that if there is any question as to whether or not you should or should not be using a supplement I recommend that you touch base with your current physician. 

Please note, however, that most physicians are not trained in how to recommend or dose vitamins and supplements, so make sure that you go to a physician or provider who is well versed in this information.

11. Are your probiotics stable during shipping?

Our probiotics are heat stable up to 142 degrees Fahrenheit.
This means that you should not have any issues with temperature fluctuations during shipping (even in the summer months).
This also means that our supplements do NOT need to be refrigerated during storage in your home or during transit to your house.
So don't be alarmed if your probiotics come without an ice pack.
I also make sure that all of my probiotics are packaged with more probiotics at the time of manufacture to ensure that you get at LEAST the minimum amount of probiotics labeled on the package. In some cases, however, you may get even more.
For instance:
Gut Bomb 350 billion is manufactured with 650 billion CFU of probiotics to guarantee that you get at least 350 billion probiotics in each sachet.

12. Are all your products gluten-free?

Certain allergens are very important to avoid if you have thyroid disease and gluten is one of those.
All of our products are gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.

13. What sweeteners do you use in your powders?

Currently, only 2 of my products contain any sweeteners and they contain small amounts of stevia extract and dried cane syrup.
If you have any issues with stevia then I would not recommend that you use Functional Fuel Complete or Thyroid Chill.
All other supplements do not contain any artificial or natural sweeteners.

14. Are your adrenal supplements safe if I have high cortisol (or low cortisol)?

This is something that people get confused about all of the time.
Both adrenal glandulars and adrenal adaptogens have a cortisol balancing effect.
What this means is that they can take high cortisol and lower it or they can take low cortisol and raise it. Believe it or not, this information has been demonstrated in some clinical studies as well.
The end result is that it doesn't really matter what your cortisol is as these ingredients are likely to help either way.
I myself had high cortisol (during residency) and used Thyroid Adrenal Reset Complex during that time and I even still use it on occasion today.
Thyroid Adrenal Reset Complex contains a combination of both adrenal glandulars and adrenal adaptogens.

15. Where are your adrenal glandulars sourced and are they safe?

Adrenal glandulars are sourced from cows (bovine) and contain parts of the adrenal gland from the cow.
The adrenal glandulars themselves do NOT contain any active cortisol but they do contain other elements that help adrenal function.
Some people are concerned that these products may theoretically contain Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy.
Our adrenal glandulars are sourced from Argentina which is a country free of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy.
In addition, before these glandular ingredients are encapsulated they are third-party tested for microbes, heavy metals, and other infections.
I have personally used these adrenal glandulars and have given them to my own family members and I feel that they are 100% safe.

16. Can I use your supplements if I am taking thyroid medication?

All of my supplements are designed to be used with all types of thyroid medications. This includes T4 only thyroid medications, T3 only thyroid medications, and combination T4 + T3 thyroid medications.
I do not, however, recommend that you take my supplements at the same time as your thyroid medication.
For best results, be sure to take my supplements at least 30-60 minutes after you take your thyroid medication.

17. How do I take your supplements?

Information on how to take your supplement can always be found directly on the bottle of whichever supplement you are using. 

So you can always find information there, but for more information please see below:

  • All of my supplements can be taken either with food or on an empty stomach
  • I recommend that you take Thyroid Adrenal Reset Complex and T3 Conversion booster before noon each day (other supplements can be taken morning or night)
  • Ensure that you take your supplements at least 30-60 minutes away from your thyroid medication (if you take any)
  • If your supplement says to take 2 capsules per day it is best to take 1 capsule twice per day as opposed to 2 capsules once per day. That will provide you with optimal results, but please note that we have many people who opt to take 2 capsules once per day and do great.

18. What is California prop 65 and why do some of your supplements have a warning?

California prop 65 is a warning that is included on any product which contains over a set limit of certain ingredients.
The warning reads something like this: "CAL PROP 65 WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm".
When you read the label it sounds pretty scary, but don't let it scare you because once you understand what it actually means it will make more sense.
If you live in California you are probably well aware of this warning because it is just about on everything including certain foods.
It may sound well-intentioned but there is one major problem.
Many of the chemicals on the Prop 65 list exist naturally in the soil and humans come into contact with them on a daily basis.
And you and I come into dangerous things on a daily basis including things like Tylenol and Water. Both of these can be helpful but can also cause serious harm if you use too much.
The issue isn't the ingredient by itself but the dose of that ingredient that you use.
And this problem extends to California Prop 65.
The "normal" threshold set for these chemicals is so low that sweet potatoes, collard greens, and spinach don't pass the "test".
Does that mean that these things are not healthy for you? Not by a long shot.
California, by the way, is the only state with this proposition.
While this warning is meant to be helpful it can also be very misleading.
Many people assume that the warning means that the product which contains the warning is somehow dangerous but that is not true.
This information does not guarantee that the product is harmful in any way, it is just there to ensure that you are informed prior to using the product.

19. Are your supplements Non-GMO?

All of my products are Non-GMO.

20. Can you guarantee that your supplements will work for me?

No, and I wouldn't ever make a guarantee about any therapy in medicine whether it is a supplement or a medication or otherwise!

I've treated hundreds of patients and the only constant thing I've found is that I can never predict how a person is going to respond to a medication or therapy. 

Even if 99% of people lose weight on T3, for example, there will always be that one person who gains weight instead. This type of thing happens with ALL therapies. 

Even though I am confident that my supplements work for most people, I would never say that they work for everyone who uses them. 

If you take the reviews as a statistical analysis you can say that approximately 85-89% of people who use my supplements experience a positive outcome but that leaves around 10% who do not. 

Because I can't guarantee that my products will work for you, however, I have created a generous no questions asked return policy which you can use within 60 days of your purchase. 

So while I can't guarantee results at least I can guarantee a smooth return and refund process.

21. How does shipping work?

Shipping to the United States is always free regardless of how much you spend on your order.
We ship all of our orders out using the United States Postal Service and orders are shipped out each Monday-Saturday, usually within 24 hours of your order time.
Most people can expect their order to arrive within 3-5 business days after their purchase. Sometimes this can be faster, but we recommend that you allow the full time given variables outside of our control such as the weather.

22. How does international shipping work?

We ship to all Countries except Sweden (they don't allow nutritional supplements through customs!). 

You can calculate the cost of international shipping on the checkout page before you place your order. 

The cost of shipping is calculated based on the cost of your shipment automatically. 

We recommend that you learn more about customs and the policies in your country prior to ordering. Some countries will excise a customs tax on all orders before you can receive them. 

We cannot control these factors so it is necessary for you to research them prior to ordering.

Please note that if your order gets returned due to customs or any other cause that we will refund the cost of your product minus shipping charges.

23. How can I get a refund?

Very easily!

My team is absolutely great and we pride ourselves on giving you the best possible customer service we can. 

This means that we will be respectful to you and we expect you to be respectful to us. 

If you are frustrated or concerned please reach out to us and we will do our best to help. Please note, however, that it may take us 24-48 hours to get back to you via email so please be patient! Rest assured that we will get back to you. 

Emails sent over the weekend will not receive a response until the following Monday. Typically, all other questions and emails during the week will be answered within 24 hours or less. 

Email is the BEST way to get a hold of us as we check our emails every single day. Messages on facebook or other social media platforms are not checked daily and may be missed.

Our refund policy extends to 60 days after you receive your supplement based upon the tracking information in our system (not your order date). 

Refund requests for purchases outside of this 60-day window will not be accepted for any reason. We hold to this policy and expect that you will have a good idea of whether our supplements will work for you within that timeframe. We cannot be held responsible if you do not start your supplement once you receive it or if you start it late.

24. How can I contact you?

25. Can Dr. Childs tell me which supplements I need?

Because I am a physician I am not able to give you personal medical advice as this constitutes a doctor-patient relationship.
While I cannot give you personal medical advice, my team can potentially help point you in the right direction or let you know if we think our supplements will or will not work for you.
Please refrain from sending long detailed emails with all of your medical history and lab tests and asking for advice as these are not emails that we can answer for the reasons stated above.
I wish it were possible for me to help everyone, but the current set of laws prevent that from being the case.

26. I see that you use magnesium stearate in some of your formulations, is that safe?

Magnesium stearate is an inactive ingredient found in some of my supplements which is designed to help stabilize the ingredients in the product.
Magnesium stearate is also found in many other supplements and formulations in the United States.
Some people suggest that there are studies that show magnesium stearate to be detrimental to human health and so they recommend that you avoid this ingredient.
My analysis of this research suggests that making that claim based upon the limited research (most of which is on animals) is both premature and inaccurate.
Further research on the topic instead suggests that magnesium stearate is not harmful, especially in the incredibly small doses
We always need to put these types of things into perspective.
For instance:
It would be far more harmful to your body to ingest one donut than it would be to ingest a year's supply of supplements that contain small doses of magnesium stearate.
There is no scientific evidence available to substantiate the claim that magnesium stearate is harmful to humans.

27. Do you have any coupons that I can use?

I do not regularly create coupons for several reasons:

#1. I don't ever want to incentivize people to purchase only when coupons are available. I don't believe that this is a great way to treat your health as it's often important to supplement when you need it and to do so in an interrupted manner. 

#2. I don't think it's fair to those people who purchase at full price only to find out there is a coupon they could have used if they would have purchased 1-2 days later. 

I do, however, understand that coupons can be a good way to get people into trying something they otherwise might not want to. And because I believe that so many people can benefit from my supplements I want to make sure that people use them.
