Quality and Supplement Standards

We take great pride in providing you with supplements designed to help support the vital systems in your body.

With this in mind, it’s only natural that we go through rigorous testing and verification to ensure that every supplement contains what is claimed on the ingredient list.

This ensures that YOU, the customer/patient, are getting exactly what you need.

To that end, let’s talk a little bit about the supplement process and how we end up with the supplements you see available on our website.

#1. The formulation process.

Before our supplements are manufactured they are created with you in mind.

I spend a lot of time researching and learning about ingredients, vitamins, and botanicals, to find the combinations that are most likely to provide you with the results you are looking for.

The manufacturing process involves much more than just picking random vitamins and botanicals and throwing them together.

Finding ingredients that work synergistically with one another, using blends of ingredients at the right ratios, and using ingredients at the right doses are all important and all make a difference.

Once I have my ideas formulated I then go about testing them and refining them.

The supplements you see on my website right now are the result of hours of research and testing.

These supplements have been refined over the years to focus on the exact problems that thyroid patients face and contain the ingredients these patients need to see results.

#2. The manufacturing process.

Formulating a supplement is only the beginning because the manufacturing process involves so much more.

I like to think about supplement manufacturing in a similar way as cooking.

A Michelin star chef (Marco Pierre White) has stated that excellent cooking is the result of doing every little step right.

Even though a Michelin star restaurant and a fast food joint can both serve the same type of food, one is far better than the other.

Supplement manufacturing isn’t the same as cooking but the principles still apply.

Manufacturing the perfect supplement is all about doing everything right at every single step.

And that’s what I try to do when manufacturing my supplements.

From the source of the ingredients to the bottles being used to the inactive binders and fillers, each of these plays a role in the end result.

This isn’t all, though, it’s just the creative process.

From there, my supplements undergo a battery of tests to ensure quality and purity.

My Supplements are Manufactured in a GMP-Compliant Facility in the United States

All of my supplements are produced and manufactured in a GMP-compliant facility in the United States.

GMP stands for good manufacturing practice and is the standard that supplement companies must adhere to in order to be eligible to be sold in the United States.

Our manufacturers are GMP compliant which means they adhere to rules and best practices that eliminate or reduce contamination, manufacturing errors, and mix-ups.

Following GMP guidelines ensures that you get a stable and safe product that will not cause harm.

Even though all of my supplements are manufactured in the United States does not mean that all ingredients come from local areas.

We get a lot of questions about the source of our ingredients.

Whenever possible, I try to get raw ingredients from the United States but that’s not possible in every situation.

Some botanical ingredients, such as guggulsterone, are found in other countries and must be imported.

Our manufacturers take steps to ensure that all ingredients, even those that come from other countries, undergo testing prior to encapsulation.

My Supplements are Third Party Tested and Verified

To ensure purity, all of my supplements undergo what is called third-party testing.

Even though every raw ingredient is tested prior to being used for content and purity, I spend extra money to send samples to a third-party source to verify.

Third-party laboratories test samples of each lot for bacteria, pathogens, mold, and heavy metals.

The result is that every single lot is tested at least twice.

This process of testing and retesting means you don’t have to worry about taking something that is harmful or filled with contaminants.

It means that when you take my supplements you know that you are getting the ingredients stated on the label without anything extra.

Fillers and Binders

You’ve probably heard a lot about fillers and binders.

When supplements are created they usually have some amount of inactive binders.

These binders can help with the manufacturing process, assist with absorption, and stabilize the ingredients.

Without these ingredients, you may actually get a worse product.

Having said that, it’s always ideal to use as few inactive ingredients as possible.

Why?

Because these ingredients can be the source of problems for some people.

I take several steps to combat this problem:

#1. I only use naturally occurring inactive fillers and binders.

Sometimes using binders is necessary and when it is there’s a big difference between using something that is synthetic and something that comes from nature.

I opt to use naturally occurring binders that come from sources such as plants, vegetable sources, and non-GMO sources.

This ensures that even when they are necessary that they are inert as possible.

What does this mean for you?

It means for all intents and purposes that you won’t even notice that they are there and they won’t impact how well my supplements are working in the body.

#2. I only use the minimum amount possible in supplements and avoid them when possible.

My first goal is to try and avoid them whenever possible but when that isn’t possible I opt to use as few as possible.

This sometimes means playing around with math, adjusting the size of capsules, and making changes to the ingredient profiles.

Doing this allows for each capsule to maintain as many active vitamins, botanicals, and minerals as possible while minimizing any extra space inside of each capsule.

Again, the result is a better product for you the patient.
